I first met Deborah during Christmas minis back in 2024, my first year focusing on dog photography. She had two dogs then, Aries was a puppy still, but fairly large already.  When I created the dog model group she joined and when I saw her posting she had a new puppy I wrote to her right away wanting to photograph this new little one.


After that session I asked about frisbee.  She lives an hour away, but I drove to her house as she said she had a huge property, the dogs could be free, and she got killer sunsets.  So off I went for a second session.


Aries is an awesome runner and frisbee catcher/chaser.  She was so happy running after that disc and did not want to stop for drinks or treats.  After doing disc for a while we did some sky portraits and then sunset portraits as the sky lit up with beautiful colour.


Finally, we tried a new idea, not mine, this idea was Kaylee Greer's genius.  It was windy, so tricky, and I had not used the smoke machine before, but fun and gave some cool results. I look forward to more fog, disc and lighting sessions in the future.
